Loose trigger guard pin on a Browning Gold 12 g?

The sucker is so loose now it slides right out of the gun. How does one fix this? I’m afraid I’m going to lose it on the next hunt.

Xenu, if the pin is that loose you have a issue with the trigger assembly. The pins have a ring on them that allow them to align in the trigger assembly and pressure from a bushing assembly holds them in place. If you remove the trigger and check to see if the edge of the bushing is bad or deformed where it is out of its holding position; you may be able to put it back in place. You can go to the Browning website and look at the manual for the gold, if you enlarge the diagram to 125% you can make out where it goes. If you don’t feel comfortable doing this or the bushing is loose or missing take it to a gunsmith. They can replace the bushings, check the tension-er, and make sure the pin is right.

For safety’s sake I would get this corrected before you loose the pin or damage the trigger assembly.
