Truglo Tritium

How do you sight in a Truglo Pendulum Sight?

I have a Truglo® Pendulum Tritium Fiber Optic Sight

You sight it in on the ground at a distance of 20 yards- the sight will then be set when shooting from the tree out to a distance of 35 yards, depending on the speed of the bow. That’s what the instructions tell you to do.
Now, here is what you actually need to do- set it on the ground for 20 yards- then climb a tree with your climbing stand, and have a target set 30 yards from the tree- climb to a height that will usually be the height you hunt at, and you will need a partner to retrieve your arrows- and a tool to adjust the sight- shoot the thirty yard target- if over 5 inches low, adjust the sight , if not, you’re OK.- To hit dead on at 30 yards, you may be 2 inches high at 20 , but that;s no problem- By sighting in up the tree at 30 yards, you will be accurate out to 35 yards- plus due to the difference in shooting form in the tree, a little adjustments may have to be made left or right, also. I love the pendulum sights. They work excellent!
