How to make canvas on pop-up stronger?
I have a 1990 starcraft pop-up. I have been cleaning in up getting it ready for a family camping trip, when we noticed that the canvas is starting to get pretty weak. I had to fix 2 spots that ripped. I am a getting ready to waterproof it, and was unsure if there might be something else I can apply to canvas to make it last longer and make it a little stronger???
Not really….at least none that I know of.
Coating it with “Camp Coat” will help it hold together a bit longer….but, it’s a natural fiber…it’s gonna go sometime. Just like your old favorite cotton t-shirt.
The canvas on pop-ups is meant to “breath” a little bit. If you seal it all up….your pop-up may get really “stuff” inside.
