Winchester Mag

Winchester Mag
Going to the shooting range. Any cheap ammo suggestions for a Winchester model 1892 .44 mag rifle.?

Don’t worry I have searched already. I’m look for what people like.
I should have specified that this gun is not used for hunting since I do live in Ohio and rifle is not permitted. The range I used to shoot at was short (30yds) and only carried Blazers so that is what I usually shot. Since I moved there, I go to a new range that I go to that has an 82 yd range.
Neilis is the best answer but I don’t know how to give him the best answer check. But thank you to everyone that answered.

“WWB” (Winchester White Box) tends to be your cheapest source for hand-gun caliber ammo (even though you’re shooting a rifle, .44 mag is considered a handgun round). It burns a little dirty, but you have to clean the gun afterwards either way.

Barring that, handloading can save you a lot – particularly with rounds like this, were cast bullets are a viable option. I handload for just about all my guns, and I tend to shoot cast bullets in my .38 special revolver, and it REALLY cuts the costs down for that one.
