Smith and Wesson M&P 15-22 to M16A4 Look?
Hello,
I bought the M&P 15-22 for its similarities to an AR15 and for it’s cheap ammunition costs and love it, but I truly like the look of the M16 A4. My main question was if anyone knew of a company that made an A2 type buttstock that could replace the collapsible stock. When I go shooting, I have the stock fully extended so the full length wouldn’t be a problem. Another question I had is if there is a cheaper alternative to the Magpul Black XTM Rail Panel Covers. The way I have it figured is that it would cost about $60 to cover the rails and that seems expensive but guns aren’t cheap I guess.

I don’t know of any replacement stocks for the S&W, but you could get the look you want if you buy a standard AR15 with a full stock, and then get a .22LR dedicated upper receiver. Try going to model1sales.com for those parts. That site has all kinds of styles to choose from. I know that in the end you’ll be spending more money, but you will get the look you want, and it will pay for itself in the end with your ammo budget.
